Such a device is not present. In order circumvent this issue, following workaound has been successfully implemented: 1) create an option "enforce-no-adf" in the file avision.conf (see following attachment) 2) patch the code in avision.c to make use of this option, if the conditions that lead to the unsuccessful ADF search (namely detection of NO ADF but reporting of SOME ADF type) is given. (cf. second attachment). Peter Linnell, you accepted OBS request 199164 "home:pinysuse:branches:graphics/sane-backends -> graphics" but there is no matching entry in sane-backends.changes which describes that change. Without appropriate entry in sane-backends.changes which mentiones all added/removed/cahnged patch files and which describes for end-users what the issue is about I cannot submit the current sane-backends package in "graphics" to "openSUSE:Factory" because it would be rejected there. I apologize for not having considered this file in the submission of the patch. Unfortunately I checked the box "remove project if accepted" so now it's gone.
