[Bug 1132434] New: iwlwifi crashes on BAD_COMMAND while transferring files to wireless-connected phone through KDEConnect
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1132434 Bug ID: 1132434 Summary: iwlwifi crashes on BAD_COMMAND while transferring files to wireless-connected phone through KDEConnect Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Factory Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: zhx@cnzhx.net QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 802857 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=802857&action=edit iwlwifi related entries in dmesg result I have not used KDEConnect to transfer files for a while. Today I noticed WIFI disconnecting and connecting several times while using that feature. `dmesg` messages showed that the iwlwifi driver crashed a few times, which caused interruption to the file transferring. Of course I tried a dozen times, every time I ran into the same issue. I upgrade my system to snapshot 20190411 from 20190409 and the issue persists. Never run into this issue before this. I am not sure to which the issue is related, kernel driver or KDE Connect. So I put it under kernel because it is the wifi restarted. Hardware information is included in the attachment. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I should add that the crash still happened even when the system (snapshot 20190314) was booted with Linux kernel 4.20.13 after I upgraded from snapshot 20190305 to snapshot 20190314.
I tried the 2nd time to copy a folder to the phone with the system (snapshot 20190314) booted with old Linux kernel 4.20.13, and there was no crash this time. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
