Is it possible (in theory, by mistake) to attach a memory page to GTT and use it later in CPU page tables?
Well, such a random memory crash implies the possibility, yes. There might be still some bugs in drm-kmp side about backporting / adjusting 4.9.x code. Could you try 4.9.x kernel to see whether it hits the similar bug? A slightly old kernel is found in OBS home:tiwai:kernel:4.9 repo.
Well, tomorrow I'll bring the laptop back from the service. And I'll try to run Leap 42.3 with 4.9 just for fun. p.s. I've found this thread is similar to my issue: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/forums/v3_1/forumtopicpage/board-id/ll05_en/pag... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
