https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=410664 Summary: Sax Hardlocks Computer When Run Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sourtooth@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Other when executed on a older computer with a ATI graphics card, along with savage integrated graphics, sax2 completely HARDLOCKS the computer. nothing can restore the computer from this state apart from the reset button, num/caps/scroll lock buttons are unreponsive. the screen also goes black, which is connected to the ati graphics card. the machine is a amd duron applebred 1.8 ghz, with 2 usb 1.1 ports. it has a agere winmodem, and a internal pci ethernet card. this happened on first run, meaning i had to bypass it, and on any other time sax is manually started through YAST. installed from openSUSE 11.0 DVD using the KDE 3.5 Desktop, with no 3d effects. i am currently using the installation provided 'safe' xorg.conf file using the vesa driver. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Does 'sax2 -p' show 2 cards? Then please try 'sax2 -r -c 0' and 'sax2 -r -c 1'. One of both should work. Depends on which card is the primary card.
