This particular issue has been addressed in the GNOME 3.4 release cycle and will be fixed in the upcoming openSUSE 12.2 release. Due to the nature of the bug and the ease of avoiding it (do not choose an existing file name while saving a screenshot), we will not try to backport the fix on GNOME 3.2 gnome-screensaver.
