The application needs to have the option backingstore. But our system, a normal 11.2 system with an nvidia videocard, doesn't use backingstore. We made a xorg.conf and added the line "Option "BackingStore"" and xdpyinfo shows us that this option is being set, but "saveunders" won't be set. Is there any way to solve this problem? We are using windowmaker, but it seems to be a problem with the XServer. It seems, and some research in the internet describe it, that this option won't be used anymore by X.
