We've been recently changing the behavior here: https://github.com/yast/yast-country/blame/master/keyboard/src/modules/ Keyboard.rb#L1470
Josef, could it be related?
No, it looks properly escaped when I see this cmdline. Here really looks like problem with opening /dev/tty.
Does this device exists on given system?
I'm not sure if I fully got the question, but /dev/tty is reflecting Current TTY device. If that works properly, I tried echo "123" > /dev/tty and got that on currently selected tty, so works fine. Also, as David has helped us to find, it's easy to reproduce on qemu, but not on virtualbox, for example. Let me know if I can help with more info. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
