[Bug 216515] New: Konqueror crashes without doing anything
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216515 Summary: Konqueror crashes without doing anything Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: amantia@kde.org QAContact: qa@suse.de In beta1 I had two Konqueror crashes in a short time (30 minutes or so) with similar backtraces. First I was reading a page on www.3szek.ro (several pages from the same server were opened in tabs) and suddenly it crashed. The second time some pages from www.rdi-sat.ro were opened in Konqueror, but it was in the background and I used another application when Konqueror crashed. As before on 10.1 I used a self compiled 3.5.5+ version without crash, I suspect that it is a SUSE specific bug (or a recently introduced Konqueror issue), this is why first I report here. As of now I'm compiling again 3.5 branch from source just to check. BTW, where is the -debuginfo package for kdebase so I can give you a better backtrace? The current one is here: System configuration startup check disabled. (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1". https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216515 ------- Comment #3 from amantia@kde.org 2006-10-31 07:52 MST ------- I'm not sure I got your question. Konqueror just crashed, once I read a page, second time it was in the background, I worked on something else. KMail was also in the background when crashed IIRC. In KMail I don't have HTML message rendering enabled, but as far as I know it always uses KHTML to display the messages. As for Konqueror plugins: libflashplayer plugin is loaded and some extenstions are loaded as well, but nothing new compared to a day before when I had 10.1 with the self compiled KDE. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Don't close yet though, if it crashes again I will come back with followup. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
