(You can enable it in prefererences - appearance - message list - show subwindow bar only if needed (german: "Unterfensterleiste für die Nachrichtenliste nur bei Bedarf anzeigen") <-- _remove_ the checkmark) When I switch between tabs, the message preview area is not updated - it still shows the last viewed mail from the previously used tab. I have to select another mail to update the message preview area.
