[Bug 1141647] New: AC_CHECK_FUNC broken by -flto2
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1141647 Bug ID: 1141647 Summary: AC_CHECK_FUNC broken by -flto2 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Development Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: azouhr@opensuse.org QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: rw@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- During the debug of package fwnn, I found that the check for existing functions with AC_CHECK_FUNC always succeeds. Looking into this, I found, that this seems to be caused by -flto=2. In particular, the function closesocket is considered existing, but it actually is not there. After removing -flto=2 for the testcompile, the correct results are found. Maybe we should make sure that for autoconf, no link time optimization is active. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
