First, the GetVideo extension i installed couldn't detect YouTube videos (although it had no problem with Google videos). It also saved the files with a correct file name, instead of get_video. On my initial install, it would show a blank icon in nautilus, and i could not play the file in totem. After building/installing gstreamer-ffmpeg, thumbnailing worked fine (I didn't have the hangs etc. as described above), although I was unable to play the videos in Totem (it would just sit there on the first frame). Where did you get your gstreamer-ffmpeg plugin, and which version do you have? Thanks. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Nautilus behaves incorrectly, even if totem-thumbnailer process disappears (without creating thumbnail). It is not easily to reproduce, but if you have opened Nautilus window and plaing with renaming of displayed (and probably just-thumbnailed) file by using mv from shell, you can easily get nautilus to the strange state. In my next attempt, it behaves differently: 5.1 Pressing Crtl+R on nautilus directory shows "0 items" in the directory. 7. Open directory Current behavior: Enpty nautilus window appears (only menu, gtk background pattern instead of Nautilus background pattern and no files are displayed. Nautilus still responds and open correctly other directories and you can even use menu of the empty window. Self compiled gstreamer010-ffmpeg-0.10.1. Hanging process is: /opt/gnome/bin/totem-video-thumbnailer -s 128 file:///home/sb/Desktop/test/foo /tmp/.gnome_thumbnail.Ubefib ** Message: don't know how to handle audio/mpeg, rate=(int)22050, channels=(int)1, mpegversion=(int)1, layer=(int)3 totem-video-thumbnailer couln't thumbnail file: 'file:///home/sb/Desktop/test/foo' Reason: Took too much time to thumbnail. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
