[Bug 780986] New: 12.2_upd versions < 12.1_upd versions
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780986 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780986#c0 Summary: 12.2_upd versions < 12.1_upd versions Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: chris@computersalat.de QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=506173) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=506173) stale package User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1 on distupgrade from 12.1 -> 12.2 several packages did not get updated cause the 'version' of 12.2 update packages are lower than 'version' of 12.1 update packages. Example with MozillaFirefox: 12.1 updates provides: 15.0-2.36.1 and 12.2 updates provides: 15.0-2.7-1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.do a distupgrade from 12.1 to 12.2 2. 3. Actual Results: Mozilla Firefox did not get updated and a lot of other packages like mozilla-nspr, mozilla-nss, mozilla-nss-certs, too. Expected Results: on a dist-upgrade all packages should be updated to the packages coming from correct repos. There shouldn't be "stale" packages marked with "@System" which can only updated manually (when you recognize that you have stale packages). did anyone try a dist-upgrade from 12.1 to 12.2 ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

So if your packages aren't updated, this has reasons that are only to be discovered by a solver test case. I don't know why this is assigned to me, the screening team should have known that the right thing to ask for zypper stuff is for a test case. As I'm pretty sure you have no solver test case left on your system, I'm closing this as WONTFIX. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

And no pkg from PREVIOUS DIST should be kept. But there are pkgs kept. They got not updated.
