http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=626917 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=626917#c0 Summary: Desktop Effects - causing data loss Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Compiz AssignedTo: bnc-team-compiz@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ametedinov@gmail.com QAContact: ories@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100723 SUSE/3.6.8-0.1.1 Firefox/3.6.8 After two years of Gnome, I switched to KDE and just minutes ago I was experimenting with various features of the DE, Including desktop effects. I enabled Wabbly windows, enabled advanced mode, and set the stiffness to max. As a result everything started flying around on my desktop and was left helpless. I was forced to log out and am now using 'root' to write this report. The problem is that when the stiffness is at max, once the wobbling starts, it NEVER stops. I waited for about five minutes and there was no improvement. THE WABBLING MUST STOP AFTER SOME SOME INSTEAD. THIS IS A CRITICAL ISSUE BECAUSE I AM NOW UNABLE TO USE ANYTHING IN THE ACCOUNT I WAS LOGGED IN, DO TO CRAZY WOBBLING. How can I do one of the following: Disable desktop effects in the particular account, Disable Wobbly windows, or Decrese the stiffness Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

However, this does not change the 'criticality' of the bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
