[Bug 342369] New: bug-buddy cannot be installed
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=342369 Summary: bug-buddy cannot be installed Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- The openSUSE updater offers the installation of bug-buddy-2.20.1-1.1 as an update. Lösung 1: bug-buddy nicht installieren atom:bug-buddy-2.20.1-1.1.i586[10.3-update] nicht installieren Lösung 2: Anforderung wird hier ignoriert root cause: on my system bug-buddy was installed, bug-buddy-lang was not (this caused no error messages) The update of bug-buddy demands bug-buddy-lang to be installed in order to install bug-buddy and bug-buddy to be installed in order to install bug-buddy-lang (circular dependency). I assume this to be the root cause for the above mentioned issue. Installing the new bug-buddy-lang with --nodeps and the new bug-buddy on top fixes the issues. For not understandable reasons bugzilla jumps to another bug report after adding a comment / adding an attachement to one bug. I did not pay attention this time - the patch above is not related to this bug but to #394305. Maybe someone could change this irritating behaviour of bugzilla as it makes no sense at all (to me ....). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
