So I cannot see what could be the problem. But from file macro_inst_initial.ycp I would assume you did not a new installation but an update.
Is this true.
NO, its not true, i performated a clean new installation with formating the device. Maybe the file macro_inst_initial.ycp is already updated, since, while the very first install (the clean one) iperformed another install, in which i only did update, to solve a graphic problem. but the first install was a clean one. but i found out the windows partitions seems to be mounted on a new mount-point. they are now mounted at /media/Windows and no longer, like in 11.4, on /windows. but i dont knew why i dont have a such entry in dolphin. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

For WIndows partitions this uses /windows/C, /windows/D, ... as mount points unless changed by the user. 2) The Graphical User Interfaces (Gnome and KDE) have tools integrated That automatically offer to mount detected partitions (e.g. if an USB storage medium is attached). To decide which is the problematic one in your case, please provide following Information: 1) content of your /etc/fstab 2) do you use gnome or KDE? 3) is there any popup after you login to Gnone or KDE that has to do with mounting partitions? If yes please attach screenshot. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

So the mounting of windows partition is not done by system startup from fstab
thats why i reported the Bug! In suse 11.4 mounting of windows partition was done automaticly while installation (i guess by system startup from fstab) but not so in 12.1 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
