https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=716292 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=716292#c0 Summary: Master audio channel in Kmix is HDMI by default. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Milestone 5 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: EagleScreen@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0 When I have a fresh install of OpenSUSE 12.1, increasing or decreasing the audio volume in Kmix or by volume keys has no apparently effect. The cause is that the default master channel in kmix is the HDMI audio and not the normal sound card. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install OpenSUSE 12.1 with KDE on a computer equipped with HDMI connection. 2.Start to play any music or sound. 3.Try to decrease the volume by kmix slider or by volume hotkeys (if any). 4.See how the volume level does not change because is the volume of the HDMI channel which is being decreased. Actual Results: 4.See how the volume level does not change because is the volume of the HDMI channel which is being decreased. Expected Results: The volume should decrease in the normal audio card by default, not in HDMI output. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
