I raised a thread on the openSuse forum about my problem,
http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/network-internet/...
Is this related, or should I raise a new bug report?
Unrelated. Xvnc doesn't support the RANDR extension (never did). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

But if Xvnc never supported RANDR then maybe my problem launching Yast2 from the GUI is not related to RANDR.
Exactly.
Presumable I should expect to be able to launch Yast2 in a VNC display?
Yes.
I would certainly be keen to try the fix in xauth as I am trying to do exactly what Dmitry is trying to do. Do you know when the fix will appear in an xorg-x11 release?
It has been addressed for openSUSE:Factory, i.e. openSUSE 12.2. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
