https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=394324 Summary: Yast2 Encrypt Home directory raises error, thereupon new KDE is not longer possible Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nugenesis@gmx.net QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- -------------------- Overview Description -------------------- After enabling "use encrypted home directory" an error appears and new kde session is not longer possible -------------------- Steps to Reproduce -------------------- -install a fresh opensuse 11 beta3 (kde4, default package selection) -update to newest factory versions -restart system (because of new kernel) -start kde session as user -start yast, go to "Security ans Users" -> "User and Group Management" -edit currently logged in user -go to "Details" tab -enable checkbox "use encrypted home directory", klick ok -input password in displayed popup, klick ok and then Finish in main "user and Group Management Window" -a popup appears that cryptconfig have to be installed, klick install -a pop with error message appears "Error │ │ ERROR: module /lib/security/pam_mount.so is not installed. │ │ pam-config: invalid option -- --mount │ │ Try `pam-config --help' or `pam-config --usage' for more information. │ │ Failed to modify login │ │ ERROR: module /lib/security/pam_mount.so is not installed. │ │ pam-config: invalid option -- --mount │ │ Try `pam-config --help' or `pam-config --usage' for more information. │ │ Failed to modify xdm │ │ ERROR: module /lib/security/pam_mount.so is not installed. │ │ pam-config: invalid option -- --mount │ │ Try `pam-config --help' or `pam-config --usage' for more information. │ │ Failed to modify sudo │ │ Failed to setup pam_mount -quit yast -quit kde session -start new kde session as just edited user (black screen for about 30 sec) ->kde session does not start, kdm is displayed again ->console login works but home directory is completly write protected -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
