Is anyone here not using KDE? I do not see an immediate reason that this might be the difference especially because I also have tested KDE (but only Tumbleweed) before.
I have this issue on Leap 15.1 / KDE / English (US) Leap 15.1 / KDE / German Leap 15.2 / KDE / German Concerning new profile: After re-installation of Firefox 68 from standard Leap 15.1 repository and creation of a new profile, I again re-installed Firefox 78.0.2 from Mozilla repo, I was NOT able to use this new profile. This case should be handled more gracefully from Firefox So by our change we triggered from my point of view an issue existing in Firefox upstream. The problem is that a fix might be non-trivial but the workaround more or less is. For me, starting from command line "firefox --safe-mode" and resetting FF data worked (and restoring with FF sync), while keeping Czech language settings.
