[Bug 220290] New: Xournal and Jarnal installed by default
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=220290 Summary: Xournal and Jarnal installed by default Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Patterns AssignedTo: aj@novell.com ReportedBy: stbinner@novell.com QAContact: aj@novell.com My Beta 2 KDE installation just surprised me with the Xournal and Jarnal applications being installed by default, two applications I never heard of before. They are visible in the Office menu without any GenericName explaining what they do. Grepping through the patterns shows that they are installed via the Laptop pattern and from the package description I guess they may be installed because some hidden functionality is described to be designed for tablet PCs. I propose to either create a table PC pattern or to degrade those two to "suggested". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=220290 ------- Comment #2 from dkukawka@novell.com 2006-11-13 05:36 MST ------- We want both as default installed at tabletPC, however this will be done. A new pattern make IMO no sense (for 2 packages) and the laptop pattern is a good place for them since there is IIRC currently no way to depend this packages on e.g. an information from HAL. What mean 'degrade to suggested'? Btw. What is the problem with the packages? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=220290 ------- Comment #4 from behlert@novell.com 2006-11-21 07:38 MST ------- I agree. I think we need feature 100167 implemented for that for a 'perfect' solution. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
