[Bug 798533] New: Realtek RTL8188SU network card does not associate with AP
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=798533 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=798533#c0 Summary: Realtek RTL8188SU network card does not associate with AP Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Factory Version: 12.3 Milestone 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jeremy.figgins@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=520273) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=520273) Contains y2logs, dmesg, lspci, lsusb, and rpm -qa I'm reporting this bug against openSUSE 12.3M2, not M1, as is reported in the dropdown box above. I have a Realtek RTL8188SU USB wireless network card that openSUSE sees and allows me to configure (static IP, through "yast lan"), but it does not associate to the AP. The AP I'm trying to connect to uses WPA2-PSK AES. "iwconfig" shows a status of "not associated", but "ifconfig" does show the correct (static) IP information. This same card (and computer) works fine with openSUSE 12.2 using just the install disc (i.e., no extra repositories are required). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
