[Bug 697535] New: Weird session behaviour with phpMyAdmin on Apache
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=697535 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=697535#c0 Summary: Weird session behaviour with phpMyAdmin on Apache Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: xieliwei@hotmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.1; U; en) Presto/2.8.131 Version/11.11 Apache/2.2.17 (Linux/SUSE) MySQL client version: mysqlnd 5.0.7-dev - 091210 - $Revision: 304625 $ MySQL Server version: 5.1.53-log phpMyAdmin Version information: 3.4.1 Upgraded from 11.4 M4 to current 11.4, phpMyAdmin became unusable. "Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly." comes up whenever I try to access any page. 1. Yes, I've checked session.save_path, it is present, properly owned and chmod-ed. Also, the directory pointed to by session.save_path has activity whenever a new session is triggered. 2. I can login and see the main page, but the side bar gives that error. If I do a refresh, the whole main page + side bar loads properly. Clicking on any link however gives me the error again. However, refreshing only brings me back to the main page again. 3. Tested with various browsers. 4. Other PHP websites running on the same server works flawlessly, even with PHP sessions. Reproducible: Always -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Oh yes, PHP version: 5.3.5
I can prepare a phpinfo() dump, but due to the possible danger of exposing it, can only email it.
There is nothing secret there, both your configuration and PHP version can be tested by other means ;-D I need to know exactly what PHP packages you have installed (including extensions) and if the webserver logs says something relevant when the error is triggered. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I've uploaded the phpinfo dump. There were some sensitive information (why does it know that there was a SSH session in progress and both the remote and local addresses?), but they've been replaced by dummy values. I believe the list of packages and extensions installed can be obtained from the phpinfo. As for webserver logs, nothing exceptional was logged when the error was triggered, even with PHP error logging on. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
