Due to the removal of macros that identified the target distribution (sles_version) and the aim to really have identic packages for openSUSE and SLE products (dicuss with Thorsten Kukuk) we have to unify the two desktop files that the yast2-registration package offers. The current versions 2.17.6 and 2.17.7 (wichever might get into beta3) will contain both desktop files. In the past either of them was deleted prior to the packaging depending on what target distribution it was built for. There are now two different files because of a naming dispute that could not be resolved in the past. We now have to find a solution. openSUSE pendant: In the past called "Online Update Configuration". This name is now used for a _new_ YaST module, that now does what the name says (which is not registration). Currently it is called "Support Registration". Thats why it was moved to the new "Support" group in the YaST Control Center. SLE pendant: Called (in the past and still now): "Novell Customer Center Configuration". It was moved to the new "Support" group as well. They both call the same YaST module and even share the same icon. To all CCs who feel responsible: Which one should be used or what other (new) name do you suggest?
