[Bug 1231648] New: thunderbird not open attachments when OpenPGP encrypted mail
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1231648 Bug ID: 1231648 Summary: thunderbird not open attachments when OpenPGP encrypted mail Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Applications Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: simon@becherer.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Target Milestone: --- Found By: --- Blocker: --- tumbleweed 20241011 with thunderbird 128.3.1esr (64bit) kde plasma Send a OpenGPG encrypted mail wit a attachment (.pdf) (or other). and or receive the mail. go to send folder or, if received, to inbox folder. double click on the attachment. normally it should now open it inside the (pre)selected program. (evnice or okular) but nothing happens. right click on the attachment and "save" is working normal. open inside this menu did also nothing. if sending a not encrypted mail with attachment (.pdf) (or other) it works as it should and will be opened inside the selected program (evince or okular) this happens always since update from 20240905. 20240905 was working. i should mention, that since about more than one year when i have opened files like described above on the desktop for the time of opening, a temporary symbol was shown, but i could not say if it was only when the mail was encrypted or always. with this new effect, not opening at all, maybe something with temporary saving the file went wrong. (i never touched the settings and did not know where to search for) i have this effect on 5 more or less similar tumbleweed systems. i have a other more or less similar system i have not direct access and the operator there told me he has not this new effect, but i could this not really verify, and the operator is not somebody i would trust in using a computer (nor clicking at the right place). simoN -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
