(The system setting "DISPLAYMANAGER" contains the value "kdm".) 1. But I get a notification "Desktop sessions -> New session" which seems to ask for an acknowledgement. 2. If I press this green button (with white arrows), it takes a while until I see something on my screen. 3. I see that my screen is mostly locked with my screensaver running already. 4. I do not know the circumstances when I get the "luck" that a login dialogue is presented on a blue background for an alternative user.
