[Bug 1127733] New: Plymouth doesn't show the current keyboard layout
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1127733 Bug ID: 1127733 Summary: Plymouth doesn't show the current keyboard layout Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: qzhao@suse.com Reporter: slindomansilla@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Community User Blocker: --- As a user with different keyboard layouts set up (en_US, de_DE, es_ES) I find inconvenient to not know which keyboard layout is in use when typing the password to decrypt the disks. Since there is no signs and no possibility to test the current keyboard, you may also find difficult to remember where special characters are positioned in each layout. Minimal expectation: I would expect to have an indication of which keyboard layout is in use so I don't waste time re-typing a password with the wrong keyboard. Desired expectation: I would like to have the possibility to set the keyboard layout used by plymouth to ask for the password. I can imagine it as a selector like in the login screen, or as a configuration setting, offering the possibility to other tools like yast2-installer, yast2-bootloader, kernel boot parameter, etc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
