This is possible if i use the LibreOffice (former OpenOffice) from the original OOo-(or libreOffice-)Repo. Why is this funktionality disabled? (on the version for Windows it is possible to use a LDAP aas data source as in the documentation describted.) Yes, this is one way to reproduce it. An other way is: User LO-Writer with an open document. / F4 to open data source / in the upper left box make a right click and choose registered database (the lower of the two entrys). Then a new window opened Choose 'New' Again a new window opened in which you can 'Create new data link'. The Doc means that there is a possibility to create a link to a LDAP or Oracle-DB, ADABAS,ODBC, JDBC, and so on but you can only choose a ODF-file.
There never was a way to directly link against anything else than an ODB file from that dialog. The link is don by the ODB file. The bug isn't on the LibreOffice side... but in the documentation. Can you cite it and give some references to it?
If you use a odf-file ther is no possibility to connect this to an LDAP-source.
That depends on the database connectors you have installed. I'm not sure about LDAP. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
