[Bug 914166] New: Openvpn dies when routing changes (possible wicked problem?)
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=914166 Bug ID: 914166 Summary: Openvpn dies when routing changes (possible wicked problem?) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: geoff@cs.hmc.edu QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 620396 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=620396&action=edit Log lines extracted with grep '2015-01-21T1.*openvpn' /var/log/messages Whenever the routing changes on my openvpn client machine, openvpn dies (see below). This happens every time I suspend/resume, every time I change wireless networks, and every time I switch from wireless to wired. The syslog indicates that openvpn is trying to reestablish its connection (which is what happened with previous versions) but then quitting: 2015-01-21T11:09:38.019727-08:00 bow openvpn[3997]: ERROR: Cannot ioctl TUNSETIFF tun: Operation not permitted (errno=1) Restarting openvpn always succeeds. I've attached a copy of all openvpn log messages from one occurrence of this problem. I'm happy to enable various debugging things and collect more info if needed; this problem is trivial to reproduce. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
