https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=231421 trenn@novell.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDINFO |NEW Info Provider|trenn@novell.com | ------- Comment #5 from trenn@novell.com 2007-01-11 05:29 MST ------- It's not worth it for longhaul cpufreq support. These guys have to add longhaul manually to the variable. We should *not* add longhaul to autoprobing (at least for 10.1/10.2, maybe for head). longhaul driver is AFAIK declared broken again in kernel anyway. Recent post on cpufreq list (Wed, 03 Jan 2007): I have report that Longhaul is locking Epia CL-10000. Basicaly it is older Epia M-10000 with dual LAN. ACPI nor northbridge support isn't blocking disk DMA. Feel free to mark Longhaul broken again. Of course user must have the possibilty to manually add it, but this works if I interpret above comments right... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=231421 ------- Comment #7 from seife@novell.com 2007-01-11 06:28 MST ------- (In reply to comment #5) This is also what i remember from former discussions on the cpufreq mailing list: longhaul is basically broken and locks up hardware / leads to data loss on the IDE interface. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
