https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=331814 Summary: reiserfs reports No space left on device Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: asklein@wpax13.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: asvetter@cip.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de Found By: ---
From time to time you can't create files on reiserfs, because it thinks it is full, even if df show 4GB free space. Unmount, mount helps to make the filesystem usable again. reiserfsck shows no corruptions. I have this problem on different machines. I did not have this with the betas.

Can you post your boot logs? The report on the opensuse list produced logs that don't indicate anything went wrong, but it's still read only.
No i can't, system doesn't allow me to login because pam doesn't work and system volumes are read-only so logging does not work. Any ideas ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This bug has been fixed with the kernel update released today. Can you verify that it fixes the problem for you?
This fixed the problem. My photo test (4000 files, 3GB of data) did run thru without any problems. Thank you. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
