Now I see a "Library" window opening, that features bookmarks and backups, and other topics, which is apparently unrelated to my downloaded files. Now there is a download pop out on the top right (right besides the search field which can be opened or the "Extras->Downloads" (german naming). Your library looks a bit strange indeed. I am also running Firefox 21.0 here on a 12.3 box.
