I do not want to play music from my opensuse system to a bluetooth speaker. I have an Android phone and want to play its music over the speakers attached to the computer. This is the other way round. For this the bluez configuration on the opensuse machine has to offer the correct bluetooth profile to the telephone. This is independend from PA. Current ubuntu versions offer this out of the box if you want to test it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This is the short howto: * ensure pulseaudio-module-bluetooth is installed * install pavucontrol to control where sound is to be played etc * start bluetoothctl CLI tool # power on # discoverable on # pairable on # agent on # default-agent * keep bluetoothctl running * now paired my android phone, in bluetoothctl console accept pairing request / confirm passkey * back in bluetoothctl console: # connect XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX (the BTADDR of my phone) * the phone is now visible in pavucontrol under "input devices" * on the phone: play music I did this right now with a fresh 13.1 installation (I only installed to verify this is *really* fixed :-)) The only thing which did not work was controlling the volume from the phone. Will have to investigate that. So since 12.2 is no longer supported, I'll close this bug as "resolved upstream", since the update of components for 13.1 aseems to have fixed it or added the necessary functionality for it to work out of the box. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
