This problem appeared after I upgraded (with a new install) my openSUSE 10.3 to openSUSE 11.0. Everything worked fine in openSUSE 10.3. I found the error while trying to convert a DVI file into a PDF file, by executing dvipdf and ps2pdf. Howto replicate the error: - using the epsfile in: http://sips.inesc-id.pt/~pfzt/gs_bug_fig.eps - execute the comand: gs -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile=gs_bug_fig.pdf gs_bug_fig.eps GDB backtrace: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. However, neither of the 8.62 versions (from OSS or Printing repo) appear to give segmentation fault when converting some PS files into PDF. Version 8.15 (from Printing repo) doesn't work either... it goes into the GS shell, but I don't understand what is the problem (sorry, i'm not an expert on GS). To give further information on the error, all EPS files generated by inkscape that include elements filled with a gradient appearantly generate a segmentation fault when converting to PDF. Here is a simpler example figure which also results in segmentation fault: http://sips.inesc-id.pt/~pfzt/gs_bug_fig2.eps Before submitting the bug, I had also tried to compile the file in other two computers running SuSE 11.0. The segmentation fault appears in all cases. Currently, I am overcoming the bug using an external SuSE 10.3 machine. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
