[Bug 957055] New: usb devices and CDs don't mount automatically
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=957055 Bug ID: 957055 Summary: usb devices and CDs don't mount automatically Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: 64bit OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME Assignee: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: martin@glora.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Since last week usb devices and CDs don't mount automatically anymore. USB devices show up in gnome-disks and can be mounted manually from this application (see error-messages below). I never had to use gnome-disks before. After some googling I also found "udisksctl mount /dev/sdc1" which also works without error-messages. Current versions: kernel 3.16.7-29-desktop x86_64 gnome-version: /usr/bin/gnome-session 3.14.0 changes last week: added repo Graphics Project (openSUSE_13.2) because of new scanner that would only work with sane-backends-1.0.25. Errors when mounting the usb device from gnome-disks: ------------------snip-------------------- ** (gnome-disks:11509): CRITICAL **: atk_object_ref_state_set: assertion 'ATK_IS_OBJECT (accessible)' failed (gnome-disks:11509): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_accessible_get_widget: assertion 'GTK_IS_ACCESSIBLE (accessible)' failed ------------------snap-------------------- I'd like to do some debug work by myself, but I'm not sure where to start. Thus any help is appreciated. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

"Caught in the dependency-hell" ;-) Upgrade to sane-backends-1.0.25 last week also caused an upgrade of my favourite photo program shotwell. Upgraded version didn't work, thus I decided to downgrade shotwell once more which conflicted with the newly installed libgphoto2_port.so.12.0.0. Getting out of this dilemma I seem to have uninstalled gvfs-backends. The following packages were installed: gvfs-backend-afc gvfs-fuse gvfs Uninstalling and reinstalling led to a conflict for gvfs-backends. After installing gvfs-backends mounting of usbs and cds worked fine again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
