I asked upstream and the response was overwhelmingly negative in the sense that this is *not* an upstream bug: First, someone reported that they tried it on kUbuntu and it works fine there. I do use the profile creation wizard, and no, it does not work in OpenSuse 12.3 KDE4. It works perfectly fine under Opensuse 12.3 KDE3, - the wizard works, files transfer, and so on. It seems to point to the Opensuse version of KDE4.
