Until 12.3, the boot process waited until I enter the passphrase in 12.3, the "ask passphrase" has some (relatively small) timeout set, so if I e.g. turn my computer on and go take some drink, when I come back, the "enter passphrase" is already time-out and I must enter root password and than run sys...ctl default to show it again This timeout really should not be there or at least be much!!! longer -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

timeout is supposed to be 90 seconds. Did you try to press enter during boot ? maybe the password prompt was overriden by another service starting ?
no, my original report was that there should not IMHO be such a timeout, but now I am fine since it can be configured (but it is not working according to the bug).
