I'm building a test kernel with those patches backported and an additional patch to apply the first quirk to your laptop model. It's being built in OBS home:tiwai:bsc1233298 repo. Once after the build finishes (takes an hour or so), the package will appear at https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/tiwai:/bsc1233298/pool/ Please give it at a try and report back.
