With kernel 3.4 the video will freeze after the X server start. A detailed explanation of the bug can be found here: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/intel-gfx/2012-June/018475.html There are two patches that fix the problem: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/intel-gfx/2012-July/018614.html or http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/intel-gfx/2012-July/018804.html The second one is the one that went in kernel 3.6rc2.
