Actually I did and there were no errors reported by perl-Bootloader, but, as before, the VM couldn't boot either: [0]hex-12:~ > xm create /etc/xen/vm/yoyo-b Using config file "/etc/xen/vm/yoyo-b". Error: Boot loader didn't return any data! Ah. it seems to be pygrub with late grub.cfg issue.

Try editing /boot/grub2/grub.cfg, and remove this if .. else .. block

if [ "${next_entry}" ]; then .. else set default="${saved_entry}" fi

And add this line in place

set default=0
