mce=off Disable machine check

A change in kernel may have improved reporting, or changed the execution path so that the hardware error is surfaced more.

thanks for replying. i have booted with kernel 6.11.6 and the problem has gone away. i will keep checking. for me kernel 6.11.7 gives me this error, which i've never had before. ps i am aware it says not a software error, but i think in this instances it could be wrong -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
