I had this running for about a year now using openSUSE 13.1. I had it available through the local network as well without problems. In the meantime I added a line manually to cupsd.conf what made the thing work, however, this is not how it was meant to be. Please find attached the y2log - file (I hope this is what you are asking for). I replaced both local IP adresses (better to say: address ranges) by AAA.BBB.CCC.* for the address in the internal zone (where the printer ought to be made available) and DDD.EEE.FFF.* for the adress in the external zone (where the printer should not be available). I add the cupsd.conf file (the modified one), too, there you'll find the same address replacements.
