This does not connect to the wireless network automatically. After the boot if i do lsmod | grep iw no result comes up Either i manually do a modprobe iwl3945 and reboot or boot to vista and access net for sometime and boot back again to opensue. No guarantee in the above methods, i have to repeat the above four-five times then it connects. I am going to attach the hwinfo when the module loaded when it is not loaded. And also if the wireless network is not available for sometime and comes back my laptop does not reconnect again(nither automatic nor manual). I have to do a reboot. But still the network manager tray icon shows up the connected image. Some people state, that it conflicts with the proprietary "nvidia" driver, if it is used. Others say that adding "noapic" to the boot commandline makes it work. I don't think that there is a general problem in the generic stack responsible for loading the modules. Sounds more like driver init/bios setup/irq routing problem.
