Goran, thank you for your report, could you please help to provide y2log according to the following URL?
I belive I did it already. Please look at attachment to original message. There you will find content of /var/log/YaST2 directory from USB stick, tarred and gzipped. If I am missing something or it is needed something more, plesase refer to it specifically. Again, I emphasize this is, I belive, 12.3 Milestone 1 bug, and not Milestone 0. This is my first bug report and I don't know how to place it rightly. Please move it accordingly, if needed. Anything suspicious in the kernel log or 'dmesg'? Also note that it's not repo2solv that was killed but the yast stack, as there would be a line about the repo2solv exit status in the log otherwise. So it can't be a bug in repo2solv. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

You coold look for yourself, I have attached dmesg output as "boot_messages". I did not mentioned before, this computer has only 512M RAM minus (i think) 64M for video. (It was a gift 5 years ago. I did not look at teeth then and I haven't upgraded it since.) (Another thing, plesase notice I have only spotty knowledge of installation process(es) at best. With 333 MB and TextMode, installation goes smoothly and it's reasonably fast. (In reply to comment #17)
So, I don't currently think that RAM size is an issue here.
What actually COULD be a memory issue is hardware-related. Maybe not all the RAM modules work correctly. Maybe the system actually hasn't 512 - 64 MB working because of some hardware malfunction. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
