The change only last for each printer job. This is what I did: 1. Open the cups web front-end choose Printer/phaser 8550dp Set printer options/General/Media Size Letter set printer options asked me for the kwallet password and done. 2.Yast/hardware/printer select the xerox 8550dp/edit default paper size is letter (I did not have to change it, it was the default) OK Print a test page and it was OK 3. I open okular and the default paper size is A4 I changed to letter print a page and close it. 4. Open it again and the default is A4. 5. Now I log out/login open okular and the default is A4.
