[Bug 1159596] New: Stop assuming apache web server for php
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1159596 Bug ID: 1159596 Summary: Stop assuming apache web server for php Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: info@itwrx.org QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- When using nginx. when php is updated, it breaks php sessions for apps that use file session storage, b/c it resets /var/lib/php7 as the "wwwrun" user instead of the user i had to use for nginx, namely "nginx". Maybe openSUSE can pick one user for the webserver user for any webserver software to share, so php can assume that ownership and peoples' config won't break? thanks -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

--- Comment #2 from IT wrx
I thought it is 'wwwrun' but may be different.
maybe it's the nginx package that needs to use the 'wwwrun' user and i would then need to change my /etc/php7/fpm/php-fpm.d/www.conf (what a path!) back to using 'wwwrun' user & group once that is the case. right now, unless i'm mistaken, one has to set php to use 'nginx' to work with nginx, but this problem occurs. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
