[Bug 763716] New: kmail2 cannot cope with mbox type input ...
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=763716 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=763716#c0 Summary: kmail2 cannot cope with mbox type input ... Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0 When configuring kmail2 for working with mbox - files, unacceptable errors occur: - though the file /var/lib/mail/<username> contains emails and kmail2 is configured for working with this file, the emails are not shown at all. - when deleting files from an account /var/lib/mail/<username> the emails do not get deleted but come over and over again. - when fetching email i.e. via fetchmail not all files that have been fetched and reside within /var/lib/mail/<username> are displayed - last but not least: why the heck can the emails from /var/lib/mail/<username> not be simply transferred to inbox and deleted vrom /var/lib/mail/<username> as the good old rock-solid solution did it for about a decade? By the way: I activated compressing after 1 file as has been reported to work on the net - but does not. Thank you for looking into this. kmail2 is what I'd call a "verschlimmbesserung" in German. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start kmail 2.configure mbox infile 3.enjoy .... Actual Results: see above .. Expected Results: what used to work for about a decade .... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
