In SLE10-SP you probably still have mDNSResponder installed. libnss_mdns-0.2.so is an incorrect name for the NSS handler. It should be libnss_mdns.so.2. Accidentally libnss_mdns-0.2.so is also provided by mDNSResponder, but not by nss-mdns.
