[Bug 528220] New: YaST Automatic Backup reports warning in /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/Bootloader/Core.pm line 402,403 on machine with RAID bus controller Mylex DAC960PG
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528220 User nk_rec@mail.ru added comment http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528220#c1 Summary: YaST Automatic Backup reports warning in /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/Bootloader/Core.pm line 402,403 on machine with RAID bus controller Mylex DAC960PG Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nk_rec@mail.ru QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; ru; rv:1.9.0.12) Gecko/2009071200 SUSE/3.0.12-0.1.2 Firefox/3.0.12 YaST automatic backup always reports warning on machine with RAID bus controller Mylex DAC960PG with physical disks /dev/rd/cXdX (where X in [0-9]). # hwinfo --disk --short disk: /dev/rd/c0d1 Disk /dev/rd/c0d0 Disk --- cut --- Use of uninitialized value $part_dev in pattern match (m//) at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/Bootloader/Core.pm line 402 (#1) (W uninitialized) An undefined value was used as if it were already defined. It was interpreted as a "" or a 0, but maybe it was a mistake. To suppress this warning assign a defined value to your variables. To help you figure out what was undefined, perl will try to tell you the name of the variable (if any) that was undefined. In some cases it cannot do this, so it also tells you what operation you used the undefined value in. Note, however, that perl optimizes your program and the operation displayed in the warning may not necessarily appear literally in your program. For example, "that $foo" is usually optimized into "that " . $foo, and the warning will refer to the concatenation (.) operator, even though there is no . in your program. Use of uninitialized value $part_dev in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/Bootloader/Core.pm line 403 (#1) --- cut --- Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create YaST Automatic Backup profile om machine with RAID bus controller Mylex DAC960PG 2. Wait backup cron job executions 3. Receive the warning message -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
