The package xf86-video-intel was not installed automatically which results in bad video performance. Ok. Apparently it's not sufficient to have
Supplements: xorg-x11-server
JFYI: 'Supplements' is pure user hint and not evaluated by the resolver. Some UI may show this as 'related' package, but not selected per default. What you want is 'recommends'; a 'weak requires'.
