https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227365 ------- Comment #1 from ben.kevan@bio-rad.com 2006-12-09 14:25 MST ------- Ok, change the initial description a little bit. Here is the issue now. I have re-installed and this time I was able to go to the second part of the install, this was because the hardware was not yet initiated. Once the video hardware was configured it went to a glowing white screen (which I also got in SuSE 10.0 and 10.1) but in 10.0 and 10.1 I was able to modify the driver "trident" section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf yet that does not work in 10.2, I still can only boot into init 5 only init 3. My computer is a Toshiba Tecra M1 as I posted earlier running the Trident CyberBlade/X4 Built in video. How will I be able to post my Xorg.0.log file within booting in? This is still a Blocker since I am unable to boot at all. Thank you.. this issue had nothing to do with CPUfreq just X11 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I'm afraid we can't do anything here. Seems to be a long standing bug, when you say this also happens with 10.0/10.1. I switched to the use of fbdev ("vesa" will be configured, when no framebuffer is supported by this GPU) for this GPU for the future therefore. ==> "FIXED" BTW, support for XP5 seems also to be broken (Bug #227469). :-( At least we have a XP5 for testing available. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
